About Us
We’re a newly established brewing company and taproom (est. 2021) taking our place among Alberta’s great craft brewers. In Greek mythology, Atlas was a titan condemned to hold up the celestial heavens for eternity. As a symbol of strength and endurance, Atlas represents two of the quintessential qualities of a brewer. The other qualities include a discerning palate and a penchant for majestic facial hair.

Mike Phipps
Brewer and COO
Mike has been homebrewing for over 30 years. His combination of talent, creativity, and passion for beer is at the heart of the 100+ original recipes he has crafted and perfected. He started out with the old Coopers Cans and plastic buckets and then moved into wort kits, wort kits with mini-mash, and then finally all-grain. His other hobbies include Lego building and playing computer games.
